This was painted during the first months of moving into my studio. I enjoy making self portraits to remember moments in time (and this was a big one), but I had no mirror! One day I noticed my reflection in the sliding glass doors, and I was inspired by the colors and shapes of my reflection.

The room behind me is mostly empty, as I’d only just begun moving in when I began this piece. The green and orange room in front of me had a small table and couch, which you can see parts of in the darker reflections of my legs and easel.
