Baking is one of my favorite hobbies, and this cake was a particularly special one for me. This past year I was diagnosed with a number of food allergies, and this cake recipe by Aran Goyoaga (from her book, Cannelle et Vanille: Bakes Simple) gave me so much hope and joy! It was one of the first cakes I’d had since the diagnosis, and I was so proud of how delicious and beautiful it was.
